Soccer Teams Kick Off Season

By

This year, the 2017-2018 Boys’ and Girls’ Soccer teams have a total of 127 students out, with 26 of them being seniors.

The boys’ team is coached by Jonathan Platt, Nick Trask, and Adam Callanan. According to Coach Trask, the boys’ team has 72 hard working soccer players, with 16 of those being seniors. Their goal for this year is to “be competitive with all teams that they go up against”. “They are a good group of hard working guys and I am very happy to work with them” said Coach Trask.

The girls’ head coach is Whitney Kading. Coach Kading has 55 striving players ready to work really hard with 10 of those students being seniors. Their goals for this year is “to use leadership skills to get better and to have better control in the game. With this skill we are hoping to beat many teams” said Kading.

Go support the boys and girls soccer team. The next girls game is on April 10th vs. Clear Lake at 5:30 p.m. The next boys game is April 11th at 4:45 p.m. vs. Des Moines at home. Good luck to the boys and girls games coming up. Go Mohawks!
