Girls track is off to a great start of the season. Coach Jim Lee believes there is a lot of talent on the team this year. The team got off to a phenomenal start at the indoor meets taking place the last couple of weeks. The first outdoor meet of the season is the Waverly Invitational Tuesday, March 28, at the Waverly-Shell Rock High School Track.
The girls are now preparing to train to get better for the Drake Relays and the conference meet. Last year, Mohawk Girls’ Track took 13 girls down to the blue oval at Drake Relays. The goal this year is to take as many girls to state as possible and have fun.
