From the small band of journalists that created the Press and the ones who brought you the news articles about the high school, we as a whole would just like to say thank you. We thank those who have gone out of their way to help us step closer in achieving our goals in becoming a student run organization. In the beginning, we had hardly any clue on who exactly was going to help us through this quest of bringing back the Mohawk Press. However, throughout the year there have been many who helped make this goal a reality.
Ms Bruns has gone out of her way to bring the Press back to life in becoming the advisor of the organization. Ms Bruns has helped all of us by editing and revising our articles, running our website, and staying on top of us to get our articles done on time. It’s safe to say that without having Ms. Bruns, the Mohawk Press wouldn’t be in it’s current position without her. We greatly appreciate Bruns’ hard work throughout the year in helping us build this club from the bottom up.
We also want to mention Jason Christenson, who has contributed to the Press greatly by making our very own website. Mr. Christenson went out of his way to design a website that was both functional and pleasing to the eye, and we greatly appreciate his expertise.
Without the support of the High School and District administration, this newspaper would not be possible. The administration has been supportive of our venture from the very beginning.
We would also like to thank the Globe Gazette who supported us at the very beginning of the year, writing a story on the Press’ comeback. From there, they continued their support in a very significant way: allocating a page in the Friday edition of the Press every two weeks. It is very much appreciated we have such an awesome opportunity to get our work out to the community.
The last people that we would like to thank would be the readers themselves. They have not only kept the Press alive by reading our content but have also motivated us to continue to improve and explore new ideas.
With this said, we cannot wait to see what awaits the Mohawk Press and its journalists within the next years to come. Thank you for your continued support.
