Teacher Feature: Miss Conner

There are several new teachers here at MCHS and we welcome them all. One new teacher that we are glad to have is Miss Kimberly Conner! This is Miss Conner’s first year of teaching, and she is thrilled to be teaching science at MCHS.

Miss Connor grow up in the small town of Jesup, Iowa. After graduating from Jesup High School, she attended Wartburg College. At the conclusion of her four years at Wartburg, she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Science Education.

Science was not the subject Miss Conner originally wanted to teach. When she was in high school, she was determined to teach music. However, she took some science classes during high school and really enjoyed them. She decided to change her future plans to be a science teacher. She enjoys being a teacher because she enjoys teaching and helping students and having them learn things in science. She teaches four classes of freshman science and two classes of junior and senior environmental science. “Being a science teacher is great because students get to do hands on activities” she said.

She is thrilled to be teaching at MCHS, and she wants to wish everyone a good year!
