Faculty Members Compete for Prom King and Queen

As Prom 2018 approaches for students this weekend, the staff also has something to look forward to. Rather than having student prom king and queen, MCHS Faculty members challenge each other to fundraise money for the Mason City Schools Walk-A-Thon. The male and female faculty members who raise the most money will win the crowns. Both students and staff have enjoyed watching the candidates fundraise for the walk-a-thon. Candidates have not only asked for donations but also have come up with creative ways to fundraise. Some teachers, like Señora Cadena, have been holding a bake sale in your room. Mr. Hines is hosting a showing of Star Wars in his room, and Mrs. Hansen has promised her students that she will dance at the Spring Assembly is she wins.

The candidates for king are Steve Hugo, Sam Bills, Jeff Hines, Malcolm Burke, and Russ Kramer. The candidates for queen are Andrea McGuire, Kerri Foley, Nicole Cadena, Janet Hansen, and Whitney Kading. To vote for a staff member, students can go to their room and put their donation into their donation bucket. Good luck to all of the candidates!
