“Welcome to the Jungle” Prom 2017

When thinking about Prom, many people would say it is a major part of high school. It is a formal dance mainly for Juniors and Seniors, and occasionally Sophomores if they meet school standards and are asked by an upperclassman.

This year’s Prom is held on April 22nd at the Music Man Square, and the theme is “Welcome to the Jungle.” Prom tickets will be available at the student counter starting April 17 for $15 each. To help with funds, there is a fundraiser set out at NIACC on March 4th, called Busting out Blue, which starts at 12:00. With this event, students have the chance to win over $3,500 in prizes. If you are a Junior or Senior all you have to do is register and attend this event. At the conclusion of the Men’s basketball game on March 4th, the high school who has the most Junior and Senior percentage present will win $250, donating by Moorman’s Clothier, for their upcoming Prom events. After Prom you can attend the “Harry Potter” themed Post Prom out at NIACC, and each ticket costs $5. So, break out the cheesy and adorable promposals, because Prom is just around the corner!
