MCHS Presents “Almost, Maine”

After school, actors and stage crew wait in the John Adams cafeteria, chattering and laughing, eating snacks and catching up before the long night ahead. Mary Alexander, the director of the 2018 Fall Play “Almost, Maine” walks in happily to welcome them into another night of rehearsals. Students pack up, and get ready for the real excitement to begin.

Since September, the cast and crew have been working hard almost every day on lines, expression, lights, and more. “Almost, Maine” is a romantic comedic play comprised of skits about nine groups of characters, where each scene happens in the exact same ten minutes. The scenes go over the ups and downs of love, being in it, falling in it, or falling out of it. There are many unique roles and aspects of the play, cracked hearts, missing shoes, shrinking men, and more.

To find out what happens in “Almost, Maine”, make sure to go see the show on Friday, November 2nd and Saturday, November 3rd at 7pm. A matinée will be shown on Sunday, November 4th at 2pm. All shows will take place in the MCHS FEMA Room. Break a leg, cast and crew!
