Belgian Waffle Music Extravaganza

Waffles and music, who could ask for more? At the annual Dad’s Belgian Waffle fundraiser for the Instrumental Music Department, folks lined up through the entire cafeteria, waiting to get a taste of those homemade, fresh waffles, complete with whipped cream, butter, and syrups from strawberry to pecan to boysenberry.

Afterwards, people could go watch the bands and orchestra perform, the orchestra in the FEMA Room, and the bands in the gym. Band had a stunning performance, showing off their Marching Band skills of Bon Jovi, and playing some beautiful songs, ranging from Alligator’s Theme to Tale of the Sirens.

The orchestra played some moving pieces as well, playing four pieces, Divertimento For Strings, Last Spring, Emperor Waltz, and Scottish Mist. Orchestra President, Abigail White, spoke of how “[the orchestra] stuck together and we did well for our first concert together. I’m excited to see how far we’ll go this year.”

Both groups had an amazing performance, and the band and orchestra look forward to the future concerts and the following year.
